Philanthropic Assistance

Purpose: 

The Philanthropy Committee of the Alabama/Mississippi Section of the AWWA serves the Section membership, local communities, and individuals worldwide by advancing the Mission and Vision of AWWA through projects, research, outreach, and service. The Philanthropy Committee seeks to support and provide financial assistance to partner individuals and organizations with this shared vision and mission. AL/MS AWWA Philanthropic Partners must have demonstrated that their Project will further advance the Mission and Vision of AWWA.

Eligibility:

Individuals, groups, and organizations are eligible to apply for philanthropic assistance. Applicants must demonstrate that their Project is consistent with and will help advance the Mission and Vision of AWWA.

Procedure: 

Please complete the attached Application Form and respond to the Evaluation Criteria below in essay format.  The Committee will receive applications until October 15, 2026. The ENTIRE application cannot exceed ten (10) pages, excluding this application.  Five (5) points will be deducted from applications that exceed ten (10) pages.  The Committee will evaluate each applicant and may request additional information and/or interview applicants prior to making recommendations to the AL/MS AWWA Board of Directors.
